I build products and teams-growing talent, creating and driving the strategy.
Since 2006, I had focused on solving users’ problems and innovating on their behalf. Through websites, mobile apps, and physical experiences, I built and supported products that integrated user benefits, customer needs, and business goals into a mutually valuable relationship.
In 2018, I decided to move from the front lines into management, and I had been leading design teams ever since.
At Zendesk, where I served as Senior Manager of Product Design, I led a team of talented Product Designers while also coordinating the work of Content Designers and UX Researchers.
My team, called Growth and Monetization, worked to make the discovery, evaluation, purchase, and onboarding of Zendesk products easy and successful. We supported users as they landed on the website, helped them evaluate Zendesk through our 14-day trial experience, guided them through a seamless and painless purchase flow, and ensured new customers were set up for success in their first 90 days. It was quite a journey, but we were a strong, fast-paced, high-output team that delivered exceptional results.
For example, in H1 2024, I implemented our product strategy in our expansion and adoption admin experiences, realizing $6 M+ in projected ARR for the year.
My core focus areas were performance management, process improvement, and product strategy. I helped my designers take on impactful projects, stay motivated, and grow professionally while maintaining their well-being. From September 2021 onward, my team maintained 0 attrition, a testament to our culture and cohesion.
The result? The company made more money, customers were happier, and designers performed at their best.
I was born and raised in the green hills of Piacenza, near Milan, Italy’s design capital. There, I nurtured and cultivated my innate ability to create impactful work.
As a kid, I watched my maternal grandfather build apartment buildings and my paternal grandfather construct complex ironwork for all kinds of use. I’ve been around passionate crafters who made building their livelihoods all my life.
Outside of my 9-5 job, I engage in more creative work in a different industry. I’ve been a fan of fantasy since Magic the Gathering first came to Italy in the mid-90s (my first deck was from the original Ice Age). Fast forward 30 years, and I am now consulting for an Italian company called Mindwork Games, which specializes in miniature painting and board gaming. I played a key role in their successful The Art of Brom Kickstarter campaign, which raised $450k in just 14 days (and more through Backerkit). We have more exciting projects in the pipeline!
